IditaFAT – has evolved into one of the Northeast’s premier fat bike races and named one of the coolest races around by Pink Bikes!

This is truly a Fat bike event and tires less than 3.7” will not be allowed! The IditaFAT offers distances of 12k or 25k “ish” or 50k “ish” making it one of the longest races in the country with a Le Mans start.

The 25k and 50k courses are designed for the more experienced cyclists and while the 12k course is designed with everyone in mind.

For all three races, the top three male and females will be recognized with our handcrafted awards and our snow podium which has become an IditaFAT tradition.

50k RACE – The top male and female finisher for the 50k gets their numbers decorated the following year.

50k course please note: We are asking a lot of our volunteers to stand out in the cold. “Reminder” that it’s a LONG course in the snow and cold and should not be taken lightly. Those considering need to be in strong fitness and have the ability to finish the race within the cut-off time.

As race directors, we reserve the right to move any 50k participant to the 25k race if we feel he or she would not be able to finish the 50k race.

Sorry, no same day registration for the 50k.

Same Day Registration: Is available for the 12k and 25k race. $60. Sorry. No swag is guaranteed for those that register same day. No same day for the 50k.

IDITAFAT RACE SCHEDULE

6:30 am – 7:45 am – Packet Pick Up/Race Check In at CCC Camp. On the day of the event, all participants must check in at the registration area at CCC Camp.

7:50 am – Mandatory Pre Race Briefing for all Riders at the Starting Line

8:00 am – Start of Race

King and Queen of the Festival of Flakes
Special recognition will be given to the male and female athlete with the fastest combined times in both the 50k IdtaFAT and solo SnoFatShu. They will be crowned the King and Queen of “The Festival of Flakes” Weekend.

*All cyclist must wear a helmet at all times

* Please exercise courtesy and respect for one another on the course

* Absolutely no littering

All proceeds from the IditaFAT are donated to the Winona Forest Recreation Association to help maintain the grooming machinery as well as management of the trails.

Race support will be provided from Fast Eddie’s Cycles for all your cycling needs. Support will be stationed in the morning and during the race for any last minute adjustments or needs. Pumps will be stationed on the race course during the race.

Please note: The race will take place snow or no snow — it’s all part of the adventure! However, race organizers reserve the right to cancel the race in the event of extreme weather conditions. No refunds!
